Angelia Kernodle Padgett, age 40, a resident of Forrest Heights Rd., Washington, NC passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center.
There will be a celebration of her life at PM, Monday, December 30 at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church officiated by James Greene.
of Bath; a brother David Horace Elliott, II and his wife Amie of Bath, along with their families.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1390 Creek Road, Bath, any time prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held PM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, conducted by Tony Krantz. Parker graduated in 1978 from Washington High School. Parker married the former Emily Johnson, who survives.
Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington. He was a former produce manager at Big Star Grocery and commercial fisherman. Surviving with his wife are his son, Austin Tayloe Parker of the home; his father, Cheshire Josephus C. Parker of Washington; four brothers and their families, Buddy Parker and wife, Pam, of Oxford, their daughters, Kelley and Kimberly and her husband, Antoine Bailliard, and Pams daughters, Jenna Guerrero and her husband, Mike and their son, Michael and son Chris St.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from PM until PM. Padgett was born in Beaufort County on May 17, 1947 the son of the late Allen Fonce Padgett, Sr. He worked with NAACO for 20 years until his retirement. Survivors include his wife Sharon Padgett, four sisters, Ruby Crisp of Chocowinity; Shirley Asby and husband Ed of Chocowinity; Dorothy Whichard of Roanoke Rapids; Lois Wilburn and husband David of Jacksonville, Florida and a brother, Louis Padgett and wife Joan of Washington.
The family will receive friends - PM Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of his son, Roy Parker, located at 112 Bath Circle, Washington.The family invites friends to a reception at the home immediately following the service.In case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Athens Chapel Church of Christ, Bath.
